I live in a resting place, long and narrow, surrounded by the ocean:
an elongated hand of wild rose and lush grass
which opens or ties. Here is the end
on the map of the country, an outermost isthmus
That is how the famous author and poet Hjalmar Gullberg described Skanör and Falsterbo in his poem collection "Eyes, Lips" from 1959.
The entire Falsterbo isthmus is surrounded by 40 km long beaches and since the 19th century Skanör-Falsterbo is ranked as one of the country's premier seaside resorts. Skanör's 6 kilometer long, chalky, creaky sandy beach with associated cabins painted in all the world's colors, attracts visitors from all over Skåne andthe rest of Sweden who is longing for sun and bath. During summer, the number of residents here will be four to five times more!
