VELLINGE - Höllviken - Falsterbo - Skanör - Västra Ingelstad - Östra Grevie
Falsterbo Bird StationThe Falsterbo bird station has long been researching bird migration, including counting and ringing of the migratory birds in order to investigate the changes in the Scandinavian bird populations. The result is very valuable in protecting the various environments in which birds live during the parts of the year.
Last Sunday in August, the popular "Beehive Day" is arranged at Skanör's Ljung, with the purpose of promoting the public interest for birds and birdwatching through lectures and guided tours. The arrangement has proved very beneficial when thousands of curious people are guided around Falsterbo Bird Station every year. Particularly appreciated is the moment when the visitors themselves get the opportunity to ring new birds.
