BirdwatchingFalsterbo is one of Northern Europe's premier bird watching sites, and from late August to the end of October you can together with birdwatchers from all over the world experience as far as 340 bird species pass Falsterbo. There is no other place in Sweden where it is possible to see as many birds, and if the weather permits, it can during one day fly past a few hundred thousand birds, which is still far from the record of 1.5 million!
Most birdwatchers gather at Nabben, Falsterbo's southwestmost tip early in the morning, to make sure not to miss all the species that move already at dawn. Then they head to Skanör's Ljung or to the Falsterbo Canal, where the particularly famous birds of prey pass by.
